Frequently Asked Questions / Policies & Procedures
Students typically begin lessons at age 5 however every child is different. Students are welcome to try lessons at a younger age if they are interested. And remember – Summit offers lessons for all ages. It’s never too late to start!
Student registration can be done over the phone or in person! Our front desk staff will contact you to let you know what time/s we have available with the instructor/s of your choice!
Lessons are held Monday through Friday. Lessons during the week typically begin around 2 pm in the afternoon and we are open until 8 pm.
Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year! Students can register at any time and their tuition will be prorated accordingly.
Lessons are offered in 30, 45 or 60 minute increments. 30 minute lessons are $33, 45 minute lessons are $46 and hour long lessons are $63 when you enroll in our EZ Pay.
Full tuition is due and payable upon registration for EZ Pay or Month to Month Enrollment. Continuing students who fail to pay tuition in full prior to the start of the session will be charged a 5% late fee.
We reserve the right to make instructor substitutions if your regular instructor is absent. If no substitute is available, students will be offered a make-up lesson.
We offer multiple performance opportunities throughout the year! Here are some of the highlights. The “Holiday Showcase Toydrive” provides an opportunity for student to collaborate, performing together in ensembles while our “Spring Recitals” offer a more traditional solo performance opportunity. Our open mic nights are held every other month in our cafe and open to vocalists, guitarists, keyboardists and more- they are a great opportunity to practice or showcase songs you’ve been working on! Students who participate in our String Ensemble and Rock Band Classes will have numerous performance opportunities at various local venues during the year as well!
We are located at 421 Main Street in Manchester. All of our lessons are held on site at the studio. (All lessons are currently held online due to Covid-19. We will let students know when we make plans to resume in person lessons at the studio!)
We offer private lessons on all instruments and voice. We also offer ensembles such as our Rock Band Class, The Summit String Ensemble, and more for those interested in learning in a group setting.
Students are permitted one rescheduled lesson per 10 week session. 24-hour notice is required to reschedule a lesson.
Summit Studios may close when hazardous conditions develop. We do not always close in conjunction with the school systems so be sure to phone our office at (860) 645-1502, visit our Facebook for a closing announcement or consult the WFSB Channel 3 First Alert Network.
